Tulsi Manas Temple is fairly a modern temple constructed in the year 1964 by a philanthropist family of varanasi situated near the Durga Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ram and is named after the great poet saint of 16th century Tulsi Das. The construction of temple was a specimen of Shikhara style. The beauty of this white marbled temple lies in its simplicity and the serene and tranquil ambience in which it is located. The most impressive feature of this temple is its walls wherein verses and scenes displaying the stories from the epic Ram Charit Manas are engraved. The pictorial representation is quite remarkable and easily mesmerized the devotees.
The upstairs of the temple is decorated with performing structures of warriors in Ramayana. The magnificent scenes of mythological works can be viewed through these majestic wall carvings. At a distance of just about 7 km from the station, the temple opens 5.30 in the morning to 12.00 noon and re pens again at 3.30 to 9 P.M at night.
The calm surroundings, serene beauty and charming landscape on which this temple was built attract large number of devotees from all over India.
